Introduction
Since the early 1990's the racecourse has undertaken major development and modernisation. Phase 1 in 1993 saw the completion of a new Grandstand which incorporated fourteen Corporate Boxes, VIP Hospitality Suite, Public Bar and an elevated viewing area overlooking the track and finish post.

In 1998 the Governor's Stand was completed offering an exclusive Membership area for the Freeman of Down Royal Racecourse. This stand also incorporates the Winning Post Café and a public viewing area offering spectacular views over the finishing straight of the racecourse.
Re-Development
Phase 2 of our development, the new Hospitality Pavilion, was completed in June 2009. It comprises of the Beef or Salmon Suite overlooking the finishing straight at the racecourse, the Rainbow Telecom Suite situated on the first floor of the new Hospitality Pavilion and Private Suites also situated on the first floor for smaller parties.
