There are twelve race meetings per year including St. Patrick’s Day, May Day, Specsavers Ulster Derby, Ladies Day, The Northern Ireland Festival of Racing and Boxing Day.

Each sponsorship package is carefully tailored to the budget and requirements of the individual client with the added expertise of the management of Down Royal wide and varied media coverage can be guaranteed.

Hoarding Sites

Advertising on one of our many Hoarding Sites is another excellent way to promote your company. Down Royal can offer sites to rent around the racetrack. They include the paddock, the home straight, at the entrance to any area around the track, which is visible to the public or the television cameras.

Hoarding sites are available to rent on a yearly basis. You are required to provide the sign, board, arrange for erection of the board and maintenance throughout the year. The standard size of the site is 40ft by 5ft.

Costs vary depending on the location and start at £1,000 + VAT per site per year.

 

A Typical sponsorship package includes:

  • Name or race or entire meeting dedicated to your company or individual – Name chosen by the client.
  • Race Name and Meeting will appear in most of the National Daily Papers and all local Daily Papers as well as editorials in papers such as "The Irish Field", "Farm Week" etc.
  • Banner Advertisement around the racecourse On-Course promotional opportunities, - e.g. mobile trade stand space given as part of package.
  • Advertisement in Race Card or special Race Card cover.
  • Announcements to race goers via the public address system
  • Presentations of Trophies to winning connections, giving the press opportunities for photographs.
  • Press coverage of sponsorship
  • Television and radio sports coverage
  • Complimentary Hospitality – depending on the level or sponsorship.

At the NI Festival of Racing in November, there are two screens at the track, one opposite the main grandstand and one at the Parade Ring.
