The single is a parody of Petula Clark’s, 1964 hit, ‘Downtown’ and now renamed ‘Cheltenham’ and hopes to hit the No 1 spot in the Irish charts the weekend before the Cheltenham Festival (Cheltenham Festival runs from 16th – 19th March).
Racing to go ahead today at Down Royal

DOWN ROYAL has been given the green light for Wednesdays meeting to take place, although racing has been delayed by 25 minutes.
Officials have been monitoring the forecast all morning with the threat of snow causing concern. However, shortly after 11am a decision to let racing go-ahead was made. The first race has been delayed by 25 minutes just to give everyone who may have been hanging on the chance of getting to the course and the meeting will now commence at 1.30 pm.
The ground at Down Royal remains heavy, soft to heavy in places.

Due to a change in the overnight forecast, Down Royal will now be subject to an inspection at 7:30am on 3rd February. The track is currently raceable but there is a risk of snow overnight. The ground is heavy, soft in places. Please contact the racecourse office after 8am on 028 92 621256 for the result of the inspection. This website will be updated immediately after the inspection at 7:30am tomorrow.
