Racing to go ahead today at Down Royal
3rd February 2010
DOWN ROYAL has been given the green light for Wednesdays meeting to take place, although racing has been delayed by 25 minutes.
Officials have been monitoring the forecast all morning with the threat of snow causing concern. However, shortly after 11am a decision to let racing go-ahead was made. The first race has been delayed by 25 minutes just to give everyone who may have been hanging on the chance of getting to the course and the meeting will now commence at 1.30 pm.
The ground at Down Royal remains heavy, soft to heavy in places.
